Specialist Tutoring for Young People in Care
At Ocean Tuition, we work closely with social services staff, key workers, and professionals supporting young people living in care homes across the North Liverpool area. We provide dedicated, personalised educational support for children and young people who are currently out of mainstream education due to special educational needs (SEN), anxiety, trauma, or challenging personal circumstances.
Our tutors have extensive experience working directly within care home environments, as well as delivering one-to-one tuition in students’ homes. We understand that many young people in care have experienced disruption to their education and may be working below their expected academic level. As such, our approach goes far beyond traditional tutoring.

Flexible & Accessible Provision
Ocean Tuition offers flexible daytime tutoring, which is particularly beneficial for students who are not attending school full-time or are on reduced timetables. Sessions can be arranged around the young person’s routine, care plan, and emotional readiness to learn.

Affordable Tuition Fees

As an independent tuition provider, Ocean Tuition is able to offer high-quality, specialist support at a more affordable rate than larger agencies, which often include significant commission and administrative fees.
One-to-one tuition within a care home setting is charged at £45 per hour.
For learners who need flexibility, online lessons are available on request.
